James Allen (Jim) Denton, age 82 of Robards, Ky.

HENDERSON, Ky. - James Allen (Jim) Denton, age 82 of Robards, Ky. passed away at 10:26 AM, Friday, February 8, 2013 at Methodist Hospital.

He was a member and Deacon of Union Hill General Baptist Church. James had worked as warehouse manager at Alles Brothers Furniture Company for almost 38 years.

He was preceded in death by a son: James Michael Denton on June 24, 1967, his parents: James Henry and Nora Denton, and also by 2 brothers: Charles Raymond and Ronald F. Denton.
 
Survivors include: His Loving Wife of 62 years: Regina Francis Denton; 1 Daughter: Dana Denton; 3 Sons: David Allen Denton, Donald Keith Denton and wife Janet, Jeffrey Kent Denton and wife Darlene; 3 Grandchildren: Shelley Davis and husband Kyle, Donna White and husband Anthony, Walter Keith Denton and wife Jenny; 4 Great Grandchildren: Ava Denton, Henry and Grant Davis, Baylee Runyon.

Relatives and friends are invited to James's Life Celebration from 2:00-7:00 PM Sunday, February 10, 2013 and again on Monday starting at 10:00 AM at Tapp Funeral Home, Henderson, Ky. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday at the funeral home with the Reverend Gary Ashby officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Henderson, Ky.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to: Union Hill General Baptist Church.
