HENDERSON, Ky. - Ida Belle Boaz, age 104, of Henderson, Ky. passed away at 12:15 AM, Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at Henderson Nursing and Rehab Center.

She was born in 1908 to Charlie and Ida Woodruff Murray. Ida was a long time member and the oldest member of Bennett Memorial United Methodist Church. She was well known for being a waitress at Beards restaurant for more than 20 years. Ida enjoyed knitting, crocheting and embroidery.

She was preceded in death by her 1st Husband: Lonnie Jordan, 2nd Husband: Carmon Boaz, Daughter: Doris Wilkins and a Granddaughter: Ann Langley.

Survivors include 1 Son: Louard "Louie" Jordan and wife Imogene of Henderson, a Son-In-Law: Ernest Wilkins of Vine Grove, Ky., 7 Grandchildren, 14 Great Grandchildren, 14 Great-Great Grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to Ida's Life Celebration from 1:00-6:00 PM Thursday, February 28, 2013 and again on Friday starting at 8:00 AM at Tapp Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday at Tapp Funeral Home with the Reverend Wayne Burt officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmont Cemetery in Henderson, KY.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to: Bennett Memorial United Methodist Church.
