HENDERSON, Ky. - Emaline (Babe) Simmons, 79, of Henderson, KY passed away while surrounded by her family, Wednesday February 27, 2013 at 2:30 AM at her residence under the care of St. Anthony’s Hospice.

She was born in Little Dixie, KY to Peter Benjamin and Susie Anna (Sutton) Grisham on December 25, 1933. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Fay “PeeWee” Simmons, grandson Bradley Simmons, 2 sisters Ruby Mae Grisham and Pearl Jean Grisham, 5 brothers Marvin Grisham, Peter “Bennie” Grisham, Jesse Grisham, Samuel Grisham and James Grisham.

Survivors include 8 children: Vicki Gower and companion Ernest Brooks of Corydon, Glenda Chandler and husband Ronnie of Poole, Susie Gish and husband Louis Ray of Henderson, Junie Collier and husband Jesse of Henderson, Janie Northcutt and husband Mark of Henderson, Bruce Simmons of Henderson, Cindy Crook and husband Billy of Corydon, Missy Simmons of Henderson; 3 Sisters: Ella Kathryn Vaughn of Henderson, Lou Ann Woodard of Henderson, Mary Jane Royster of Henderson; 1 Brother: Luther “Sonny” Grisham of Henderson; 17 Grandchildren; 32 Great-grandchildren; Several Nieces and nephews.

Services will be at noon Friday March 1, 2013 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel. Rev. Hollis Marshall will officiate.

Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be Thursday 4-8 PM and Friday 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Anthony’s Hospice.
