William T. (Tom) Owens, age 88, of Morganfield, KY

HENDERSON, Ky. - William T. (Tom) Owens, age 88, of Morganfield, KY, passed away at 11:30 PM, Monday, March 4, 2013, at Deaconess Hospital, Evansville, IN.

Tom was born and raised in Dixon, KY. Mr. Owens was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during WWII. In 1984, he married his wife Janice McConnell Owens. He retired after 30 years of service from Gamco Products and was member of the American Legion Worsham Post #40. Tom was an avid UK basketball fan.

He was preceded in death by his two sons Terry and Thomas Owens, two brothers and three sisters.

Survivors include: Wife of 28 years: Janice Owens Morganfield, KY; 3 Daughters: Donna Harrison and husband Brad, Gayle Johnson and husband Tim; Karren Wilkerson and husband Tim All of Henderson, KY; 2 Sons: Larry Owens Evansville, IN, Rick Fisher Morganfield, KY; 1 Sister: Della Fitzgerald Louisville, KY; Several Grandchildren; Several Great Grandchildren; Many Nieces and Nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to Tom's Life Celebration from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and again from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday, March 7, 2013 and from 12:00 PM until service on Friday at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home, Henderson, KY. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, March 8, 2013 at the funeral home with Dr. Philip Bassinger, PhD and Reverend Brad Harrison officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Henderson, KY. Military honors will be rendered by the
American Legion Worsham Post #40.
