HENDERSON, Ky. - Clyde (Tubby) Littrell, 89, of Henderson, KY passed away at 3:26 AM Tuesday March 5, 2013 at his residence under the care of St. Anthony’s Hospice.
He was born in Henderson County on February 5, 1924 to Ruby Terril and Hallie May (Stone) Littrell. He was retired from Sheet Metal Union Local 20 of Evansville. He was a member of Hyland Baptist Church since 1953 where he was very active as Deacon, Sunday school teacher and Bus Ministry. Clyde was also a Royal Ambassador Leader. He attended YMCA for over 30 years and enjoyed playing pool at the Gathering Place.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 4 brothers: George Washington Littrell, Edward Littrell, Lloyd Littrell and Floyd Littrell, 1 sister Peggy Goldsberry.
He is survived by his wife Loretta (Grossman) Littrell; 5 Children: Rick Littrell of Henderson, Mike Littrell and wife Martha of Elva, KY, Donna Nunn and husband Ronnie of Henderson, Bruce Littrell of Nashville, IN, Becky Pool and husband Gary of Wildwood, MO, 3 Sisters: Christine Powell of Henderson, Mary Taulbee of Apple Valley, California, Laura Dunse of Greenwood, IN; 10 Grandchildren; 17 Great-grandchildren.
Services will be 1:00 PM Friday March 8, 2013 at Hyland Baptist Church. Bro. Michael Littrell and Pastor Kenny Kidd will officiate.
Burial will be in Fairmont Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday 4-8 PM at Hyland Baptist Church and Friday 10:00 AM until service time at the church.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Anthony’s Hospice or Hyland Baptist Backpack Ministry.
Pallbearers will be Jason Littrell, Eric Littrell, Ryan Nunn, Thomas Pool, Dale Pool and Bruce Littrell.
Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel is handling arrangements.
