Phillip Morris, age 63, of Henderson, Ky

HENDERSON, Ky. - Phillip Morris, age 63, of Henderson, Ky. passed away at 5:55 AM, Thursday, March 14, 2013 at his home under the care of St. Anthony's Hospice.

He was born 1949 in New Bedford, Massachusetts to Daniel and Hilda Morris.

Phillip was of the Baptist faith. After graduating Henderson County High School in 1967 he went to work as an electrician in maintenance at Gamco Products Co.

Phillip married his high school sweetheart Linda on May 29, 1967. When he wasn't hunting or fishing you could find him watching UK ball or any football game. He was an avid photographer who loved taking pictures of wildlife and nature.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife: Linda Morris in 2008.

Survivors include: 2 Daughters: Sheina Burden and husband Randy from Panama City Beach, Fl.; Misty Dohrn and husband Daniel of Henderson, Ky; 1 Son: Christophere Morris Henderson, Ky; 1 Sister: Sharon Craig Henderson, Ky; 1 Brother: David Morris Henderson, Ky; 5 Grandchildren: Dylan, Tyler, Lindsey, Aubrey and Elizabeth; 1 Great Grandchild: Raelyne; Nieces and Nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to Phillip's Life Celebration from 4-8 PM Friday, March 15, 2013 and again on Saturday starting at 10 AM at Tapp Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 1 PM on Saturday at the funeral home with Reverend Dan Book officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmont Cemetery in Henderson, Ky.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society.
