Katherine Snodgrass, 94, of Henderson, KY

 

HENDERSON, Ky. - Katherine Snodgrass, 94, of Baskett passed away Monday March 18, 2013 at her residence.

She was born on February 15, 1919 in Henderson County to Charles A. and Birdie (Brown) Alexander. She was a homemaker and member of Advance Baptist Church in Baskett. Katherine was a Kentucky Colonel and an avid animal watcher.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Harvey L. Snodgrass, 2 sons Bobbie Snodgrass Sr. and Yeamon Snodgrass, grandson Terry Snodgrass, 5 brothers: Bill, Woots, Buddy, Tom and Marty Alexander and sister Sissy Wilkerson.

She is survived by her daughter: Elaine McDonald and husband Thomas “Sug” of Reed; 2 Daughter-in-laws: Sue Snodgrass of Baskett, Pat McCarty of Evansville; 2 Sisters: Joyce Berry and husband Donald of Henderson, Audrey May Wallace of Henderson; 1 brother: Charles Malcolm Alexander of Baskett; 6 Grandchildren: Curtis Snodgrass, Christopher Snodgrass, Paula Long, Bobbie Snodgrass Jr., Daniel McDonald and Mark McDonald; 7 Great-grandchildren; Devoted neighbors and friends: Susie and Willie Carter of Baskett; Nieces and Nephews.

Services will be 1:00 PM Friday March 22, 2013 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel. Bro. Nathan Whisnett, Bro. Bob Whitter, and Bro. Donald Berry will officiate.

Burial will be in Baskett Cemetery.

Visitation will be Thursday 4-8 PM and Friday 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Baskett Cemetery Association, Advance Baptist Church of St. Anthony’s Hospice.

Pallbearers will be Tommy Alexander II, Danny Long, Chris Snodgrass, Curt Snodgrass, Tommy Ray Alexander and Willie Carter.

Honorary pallbearers will be Paula Long, Bobbie Snodgrass Jr., Danny McDonald and Billy Alexander.
