Owensboro Chamber Hosts Ribbon Cutting for Local Interior Decorator

naomi1Owensboro, KY (03/29/2013) – On Thursday, Naomi Brown celebrated the grand opening of her business, Designs for You, with a ribbon cutting at the Greater Owensboro Chamber of Commerce office in downtown Owensboro.

Brown, who calls herself a “Project Manager,” is also a Certified Interior Designer who started her business in 1997. She says the reason she named her business Designs for You is because “when I step into your space, it’s all about your lifestyle. It’s about what you want to do with the space and what colors you like. I’m just there to pull that information out of you and help you pull those things together.”

Brown previously worked for the federal government. She taught Global Information Systems and worked as a program technician.

Brown said she decided last year after a slow business year that she wanted to join the Chamber of Commerce in Owensboro. According to her, more publicity is better.

“It’s all about networking,” she said.
