breakingnews FATALACCIDENT 300TODD COUNTY, Ky. (4/4/13) – The Kentucky State Police (KSP) is investigating a single-vehicle, fatal collision that occurred on KY 181 South (Guthrie Rd), approximately 2 miles north of Guthrie, on Thursday, April 04, 2013, at 00:03 a.m.

The preliminary investigation revealed that Sheila D. Austin, Age 56 of Elkton, KY, was operating a 2004 Hyundai Accent, northbound on KY 181 when she lost control of the vehicle and exited the right shoulder of the roadway. While trying to regain control of the vehicle, Austin overcorrected and traveled into the southbound lane. She then overcorrected once again and traveled back off the right shoulder of the roadway. The vehicle overturned as a result and Ms. Austin, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle. She was pronounced dead at the scene by Todd County Coroner Bob Whittlesey.
