Jane Ellen Todd Courtney, age 92, of Little Dixie

HENDERSON, Ky. - Jane Ellen Todd Courtney, age 92, of Little Dixie, passed away at 7:20 AM, Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at the home of her son, Jimmy Courtney.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 76 years, James Ransom Courtney Sr. in 1996, 3 brothers: Roy Todd, Amos Eugene Todd, Pete Todd, 5 sisters: Dorothy Hill, Daisy Walters, Ana Jean Todd, Bertha Louise Todd, Amy Irene Todd and a grandson: Mark Givens.

Jane was a member of First Baptist Church in Henderson. She was a homemaker and an honorary member of the KY Travelers AMA Motorcycle Club.

Jane enjoyed life, camping, family gatherings and showing the family she could still jitterbug.

Survivors include: 2 Daughters: Eula "Tootsie" Givens and husband Rudy, Jr., Barbara Talley and husband Bobby Wayne; 2 Sons: James Ransom Courtney Jr., Larry Courtney All of Little Dixie; 1 Brother: Edgar Todd of Evansville, IN; 10 Grandchildren; 27 Great Grandchildren; 32 Great-Great Grandchildren; Nieces and Nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to Jane's Life Celebration from 4-8 PM Friday, April 19, 2013 and again on Saturday starting at 9 AM at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at11 AM on Saturday at the funeral home with Pastor Ellis Payne officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Henderson, KY.

Pallbearers will be grandsons: Dwayne, Darrell and Danny Talley, Dale Givens, Jamie Courtney, Eddie Madden , Steve Crister.

Honorary Pallbearers: Great Grandchildren and Great-Great Grandchildren.
