James Marion Ellis Jr., age 84, of Henderson, KY

HENDERSON, Ky. - James Marion Ellis Jr., age 84, of Henderson, KY passed away at 8:51 PM, Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at home while under the loving care of his family and St. Anthony's Hospice.

James Marion was born December 30, 1928 to James Marion Ellis Sr. and Nellie Liles Ellis.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 41 years, Bessie Arnett Ellis in 1993.

James Marion was a lifetime member of Cairo United Methodist Church. He graduated from Barret Manual Training High School. James Marion had worked as a self-employed carpenter and farmer.

Survivors include: 1 Daughter: Janet Burke and husband Jeff of Henderson, Ky; 3 Sons: Stewart Ellis and wife Liz, Arthur Ellis and wife Missy all of Henderson, Ky, David Ellis and wife Farah of Poole, Ky; 11 Grandchildren; 3 Great Grandchildren; Special dear friend: Martha Jean Rich.

Relatives and friends are invited to James Marion's Life Celebration from 2-8 PM Friday, April 19, 2013 and again on Saturday starting at 10 AM at Cairo United Methodist Church, 13510 Hwy 41 A, Henderson, Ky. The funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Saturday at the church with Reverend Fred Whitmore and Reverend Mark Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmont Cemetery in Henderson, Ky.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to: St. Anthony's Hospice or Cairo United Methodist Church.

Pallbearers will be his grandchildren. Honorary pallbearer: Lloyd "Bub" Agnew.
