James Dillard Brack, 84, of Kankakee, IL

KANKAKEE, Il. – James Dillard Brack, age 84 of Kankakee, IL formerly of Calumet City, IL passed away Thursday, April 18, 2013 at Riverside Medical Center, Kankakee, IL.

He was born February 23, 1929 in Henderson, Kentucky the son of Commodore and Annie Bennit Lester Brack. He married Rosemary Cannon on December 21, 1953. Mr. Brack worked for HH Robertson Construction for 38 years, retiring in 1992. His heart was in his family and he cherished the time he spent at his home on Barkley Lake.

Survivors include his wife, Rosemary Brack Kankakee, IL; three sons, James A. Brack (Fortunetta) of Highland, IN, Chris Brack (Cheryl) of Bradley, IL, Perry Scott Brack (Deanna) of Dyer, IN; one daughter, Sherry Ann Brack of Chicago, IL; two sisters, Thelma Knight of Detroit, MI and Nita Johnson of Nashville, TN; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Dalton Brack, MI and John and Faye Brack of Gastonia, NC; eleven grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to Dillard's Life Celebration from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 23 and again on Wednesday starting at 9:00 a.m. at Benton-Glunt.

The Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday with Reverend B. J. Brack officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Henderson, Kentucky.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Gift of God Street Church Ministry, Kankakee, IL
