DUE TO HEAVY SNOWS IN WESTERN KENTUCKY...WIDESPREAD 6 TO 12 INCH SNOWFALL AMOUNTS HAVE HAULTED AREA TRAVEL. ISOLATED 15 INCH AMOUNTS HAVE BEEN REPORTED. HENDERSON, Ky. – Kenneth Harold "Smokey" Busby, age 61, of Henderson, KY, passed away at 11:59 a.m., Sunday, April 21, 2013, at Methodist Hospital.

He was of the Baptist faith and was a Deacon. Kenneth was affectionately known to all as "Smokey". He was employed at T.J. Maxx in Evansville, IN. Kenneth had many friends there and he enjoyed his working years. Smokey had a great work ethic and was very mechanically inclined. His hobbies were helping people, especially anyone who needed help with their lawn or lawn equipment. He also enjoyed visiting and vacationing with his family and friends to the Finger Lakes of New York State. Uncle Kenny enjoyed his time he had with his beloved nieces and nephews.

Kenneth was preceded in death by parents Charles Harold Busby and Anna Jean Busby Rowley.

Survivors include two brothers, Gary Busby and wife Kelly of Henderson, KY, Terry Busby and fiancé Laurie L. Loncosky of Waterloo, NY; one niece, Jennifer Littrell and husband David of Henderson, KY; one nephew, Gregory Kenneth Busby of Henderson, KY; two great nephews, David Littrell III and Grey Busby; one great niece, Marisa Littrell; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to Kenneth's Life Celebration from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 24, 2013 and again on Thursday starting at 9:00 a.m. until service at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home with the Reverend Dan Book officiating. Burial will follow at Fernwood Cemetery in Henderson, KY.
