Nina J. (Sissy) Basham, age 74, of Spottsville, KY

HENDERSON, Ky. - Nina J. (Sissy) Basham, age 74, of Spottsville, KY, passed away at 10:35 AM, Thursday, April 25, 2013, at St. Anthony's Lucy Smith King Care Center.

Mrs. Basham was born in Richmond, IN and moved to Spottsville as a child. At the age of 16, Nina married the love of her life, Aaron "A.D." Basham, Sr., who was fresh out of the U.S. Marine Corps. Sissy enjoyed fishing and camping, she loved to raise a garden and can her own food. Nina was a member of Lighthouse Outreach Church. She always looked forward to family reunions and having gatherings with her church family and cooking for them.

She was preceded in death by her husband and parents James Robert Pruitt and Katherine Louise Martin.

Survivors include: 1 Daughter: Gwendolyn Basham Spottsville, KY; 2 Sons: Aaron D. Basham II& wife Trenda Spottsville, KY, Dustin Basham Owensboro, KY; 1 Sister: Betty Jo Collier and husband Jesse Hebbardsville, KY; 3 Grandchildren: Joshua Pugh, Clynton Pugh, and Tyler Basham; 4 Great Grandchildren; Nieces and Nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to Sissy's Life Celebration from 1-8 PM Sunday, April 28, 2013 and again on Monday starting at 10:00 AM until service time at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, April 29, 2013 at the funeral home, with the Reverend Albert Winters officiating. Entombment will follow at Roselawn Mausoleum in Henderson, KY.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to: Lighthouse Outreach Church and St. Anthony's Hospice,
