Mary Lou Spillars Clark, age 90, of Henderson, Ky

HENDERSON, Ky. - Mary Lou Spillars Clark, age 90, of Henderson, Ky passed away at 12:32 PM, Thursday, April 25, 2013 at her home while under the loving care of her family along with St. Anthony's Hospice.

She was born in 1922 to William and Katherine Spillars.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband William Edward Clark in 1991, a daughter Lois Marie Newton, 4 sisters and 3 brothers.

Mary was a charter member of Chapel Hill United Methodist Church. She was a housewife and a devoted mother to her 4 children. Mary loved crocheting, knitting, quilting, gardening and bird watching.
 
Survivors include: 2 Daughters: Doris Faye Clark of Henderson, KY, Shirley Diane Peckenpaugh and husband Randy of Henderson, KY; 1 Son: Norris Ray Clark and wife Donna of Henderson, Ky; 1 Sister-in-law: Helen Hill of Henderson, KY; 5 Grandchildren: Britt Newton, Carol Newton, Michelle Peckenpaugh, Sabrina Peckenpaugh Smither and Alyson Clark; 4 Great Grandchildren: Brianna Scott, Carly Nations, Ashton Smither and William Smither; 3 Great-Great Grandchildren: Alisha Scott, Bryan Scott and Caylen Scott.

Relatives and friends are invited to Mary's Life Celebration from 4:00-8:00 PM Sunday, April 28, 2013 and again on Monday starting at 10:00 AM at Tapp Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM on Monday at the funeral home with Reverend Hollis Marshall officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Henderson, Ky.

Pallbearers will be: Norris Clark, Larry Royster, Darrin Fambrough, Jake Sheely and Mike Penry.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to: St. Anthony's Hospice.
