HENDERSON, Ky. - Sherian Kaye Nunley Howard, age 66, passed away Friday, May 3, 2013, at Frankfort Regional Medical Center after an extended illness.

A native of Henderson, KY, she was born November 27, 1946. She was a graduate of Henderson County High School Class of 1964, a graduate of University of KY College of Nursing, and a retired registered nurse.

Ms. Howard is survived by her daughters, Nora Elizabeth Howard, Mary Lorraine Howard Leppo (Paul), all of Lexington and their father, Malcolm F. Howard, Ashland; four grandchildren, Jaxson Franklin Howard, P.J., Kelsy and Charlie Leppo; her sister Lanora Jane Hays; and nephew, Heath Hays. She was preceded in death by her infant son, Jeremy Franklin Howard; and her parents, James Norman and Helen Lorraine O'Daniel Nunley.

Memorial services for Mrs. Howard, will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, May 10, 2013, at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home in Henderson, KY with burial to follow in Fairmont Cemetery, Henderson. Visitation will be at the funeral home Friday from 12:00 p.m. until the service at 1:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests expressions of sympathy in her memory to a charity of choice.
