2doveHENDERSON, Ky. - Vogel T. Kyle, age 58, of Henderson, KY, lost his courageous battle with cancer at 9:02 am, Wednesday, June 05, 2013, at Henderson Nursing and Rehab.

He had been a former courier for the Owensboro Independent School System, and then later became employed at Big Rivers Power Plant in Sebree, KY. He had a special love for his family, friends, and his classical guitars. Vogel was preceded in death by his father George V. Kyle, on October 25, 2012.

Surviving is his loving mother, Frances A. Kyle, of Wellington Parc in Owensboro, a sister, Donna (Mark) Fulkerson of Owensboro, two nieces, Cassidy Clark Ray (Jacob), Leslie Fulkerson (Luke) of Owensboro, one nephew, Marcus (Kellee) Fulkerson of Evansville, five great nieces and nephews, Harper, Charley, Ryker, Cole, and Sebastian.

The family would like to give thanks to the many cousins, aunts, and uncles whose devotion, love, and prayers were most supportive. A special thank you goes to our wonderful aunt, Beryl Thompson, and her superb caretaking which offered enormous strength to our family.

Also, the following is a list of invaluable medical staff and caregivers: Henderson Nursing and Rehabilitation, St. Anthony's Hospice, Home Instead Senior Care, Methodist Hospital, Deaconess Chancellor Center, Dr.'s T. Paul Wilder and Armad Husain. Thank you to our spiritual family from Cairo United Methodist Church with special mention to Rev. Mark Jones.

Relatives and friends are invited to Vogel's Life Celebration from 3:00 to 7:00 pm Friday, June 7, 2013 and again on Saturday starting at 9:00 to 11:00 am at Tapp Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday at the funeral home with Rev. Mark Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmont Cemetery in Henderson, KY.  

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to: Henderson Nursing and Rehabilitation Activity Center.
