Perry David Whitledge, 85, of Henderson, Ky

sunrayHENDERSON, Ky. - Perry David Whitledge, 85, of Henderson, Ky passed away Wednesday June 19, 2013 at Western Ky Veteran’s Center in Hanson.

He was born June 19, 1928 in Waverly, KY to the late Floyd and Goldie Ann (Allinder) Whitledge.

He retired from Henderson Power and Light after 40 years of service, and enjoyed being a mechanic.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Martha Ann Whitledge.

He is survived by 3 children: David and his wife Mary Linda Whitledge of Abingdon, VA, Mary Ann Whitledge of Henderson, KY, and Nancy and her husband Steve Watkins of Henderson, KY. 4 grandchildren: Bethany Skaggs, Cody Young, Jerry Skaggs, and Perry B. Whitledge and 2 great-grandchildren.

Services will be 11:00 AM Saturday June 22, 2013 at Tomblinson Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Littrell officiating.

Burial will private.

Military rites will be conducted by American Legion Worsham Post # 40.

Visitation will be Saturday June 22, 2013 from 10:00-11:00 AM at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to charity of choice.
