asphalt1 kytrans 300HENDERSON, Ky. (7/29/13) – A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans to continue night lane restrictions along US 41 North between Henderson and Evansville this week.

In recent weeks, lane restrictions after 7 p.m. have allowed paving operations along U.S. Hwy. 41 from about the 16 mile marker at the U.S. Hwy. 41/U.S. Hwy. 60 Henderson Cloverleaf extending northward to the U.S. Hwy. 41 Twin Bridges at about the 19 mile marker.

Starting on Tuesday, July 30, the contractor expects to move paving operations north of the U.S. 41 Twin Bridges for paving from the Ohio River to the Kentucky-Indiana State Line.

One lane of traffic flow will be maintained in each direction during these operations Construction will be completed at these locations and all lanes reopened to normal traffic flow by 6 a.m. each morning.

Once paving is completed on the driving lanes in each direction, the contractor plans to start on the passing lanes.

This work is being scheduled at night to minimize traffic disruptions during peak travel periods.

Motorists should be aware of these night lane restrictions and use appropriate caution where equipment, flaggers, and construction personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.

The night paving will be scheduled from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. on a Sunday night through Thursday night schedule. The work is expected to take about another week to complete, weather permitting.
