William Harrison'Bill' Clements, 72, of Gainesville, FL

HOPKINS COUNTY, Ky. - William Harrison'Bill' Clements, 72, of Gainesville, FL, passed away Sun., Sept. 29, 2013. He was born Feb. 1, 1941, in Evansville, IN to the late Harrison and Katherine Branson Clements. He grew up in Madisonville, KY., and was a graduate of the 1959 Madisonville High School and Western Kentucky Univ. with a degree in business and economics. Bill partnered with Gruver and Assoc. for several years then worked for Waste Management, where he retired in 2011. He was founding president of the Gator Chapter of the Kentucky Colonels.

Bill and his wife of 50 years, Renae Gray Clements of Madisonville have three daughters Catherine (Timothy) Beeny of Henderson, KY; Kendra (Michael) Pennell of Boca Raton, FL and Mary Kaye (Darcy) Ellis of DeLeon Springs, FL.; a brother John Branson (Shirley) Clements of Madisonville, brother-in law, Don (Elaine) Gray; sister-in-law Rhonda Osborne; brother-in-law David (Suzanne) Gray; 4 grandchildren and nieces and nephew. Bill loved life, family and friends and had a constant four legged companion, Massimo.

Funeral services will be Fri., Oct. 4, 2013, at 4:00 pm in the chapel of Williams-Thomas Funeral Home - West Area, 823 NW 143rd St. Rev. Dan Johnson, Trinity UMC of Gainesville will officiate. The family will receive friends Oct. 3, 2013 from 5:30 to 7:00 pm, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Girls Place, 2101 NW 39th Ave, Gainesville, FL 32605 or the Alachua County Humane Society at 4205 NW 6th St, Gainesville, FL 32609.
