Dorothy Louise Yates, 94 of Henderson, Ky

HENDERSON, Ky. - Dorothy Louise Yates, 94 of Henderson, Ky passed away Tuesday November 19, 2013 at the Lucy Smith King Care Center in Henderson, KY.

She was born in Union County, Ky on June 20, 1919 to the late Lonzo Boss Stone and Maomi (Jenkins) Stone.

She had worked at Bear Brand Hosiery Mill in Henderson. She was also a member of Henderson General Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Jesse L. Yates (1979), Son; Earl Rayburn Yates (2007), Great Granddaughter; Emily Christeen Yates (2007), and Great Grandson John Yates.

She is survived by 2 sons; Jerry Yates and wife Shelia Wilson Yates of Henderson, KY, Randy Yates and wife Donna of Corydon, KY; Daughter-in-law; Beverley Yates of Michigan; Special friend; Billy Todd Tapp of Texas; 9 grandchildren; David Yates, Jeff Yates, Willie Yates, Mandy Yates, Bart Yates, Meredith Yates, Adam Carnal, Renae Brown and Skyler Wilson; 9 Great grandchildren; 4 Great Great grandchildren; Nieces and Nephews.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday November 22, 2013 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel. Pastor Charles Linhart will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be Thursday 4:00 until 8:00 and Friday 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Anthony’s Hospice, 2410 S. Green St. Henderson, Ky 42420
