Greenville FRYSC Benefit of Rotary Pancake Proceeds

rotary pancake 300Sally Washburn and Tommy Kirkpatrick, co-chair of Rotary Club of Muhlenberg County Pancake BreakfastCENTRAL CITY, Ky. (12/24/13) — The Rotary Club of Muhlenberg County welcomed guest speaker Sally Washburn at its Dec. 17 meeting. Washburn is the coordinator of the Family Resource and Youth Services Center at Greenville Elementary School.

The mission for FRYSC is "helping remove barriers to learning". Washburn told the club about the daily activities and challenges that her office encounters as it strives to accomplish their mission ... especially with the holidays at hand.

Each year the Rotary Club of Muhlenberg County designates its "Pancake Breakfast with Santa" as a fundraiser that rotates to include all the county schools' resource centers. The Rotarians were very pleased to present Washburn and Greenville Elementary School with more than $800 from this year's Pancake Breakfast.
