He was retired from Whirlpool Corp. as an appliance painter. He was a U.S. Army veteran.
He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Carolyn Clevenger; and his parents, Elmer and Naomi Ruth Whitledge.
Survivors include Carolyn’s children, whom he loved as his own, Jeff and Kathy Morris, Tom and Karen Neth and John Clevenger; one brother, Carroll Whitledge and his wife, Linda; one niece, Laura Sue Biggers; and great-nieces and great-nephews, Josh, Sierra, Jake and Ian.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Tapp Funeral Home. Gary Puryear will officiate. Burial will be in Corydon Cemetery in Corydon. Friends may call after 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Henderson Church of Christ.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Morris, Sam Morris, Kenny Brantley, Donald Dixon, Buddy Gibson and Troy Biggers.
Arrangements are entrusted to Tapp Funeral Home.
