Bass Fishing Team Hook First Place

muh fishing team 300DUNMOR, Ky. (3/19/14) – Muhlenberg County High School Mustang Bass Fishing Team hooked first place this year in the Second Annual MCHS-Uncle Lee's High School Fishing Classic, Saturday, March 15 at Lake Malone State Park.

The weather cooperated, too, according to the Mustang's coach, Cody Napier, who said the event was a huge success.

"We had a total of 17 boats in the competition," Napier said. "Mustang fishing team members Jacob Bowles and Lucas Adams won the tournament. Second place went to Logan County team members Jon Todd and Jerred Long. Other Muhlenberg Mustangs in competition included Cameron Brooks and Chase Geary, who came in fourth, Taylor Harris and Cole Noffsinger took fifth place, and Peyton Lipe and Nathan Flener won sixth place. We were very happy with the team, and with the turn out from other schools in the area."

After the competition, the senior members of the Mustang Bass Fishing Team, Chase Geary, Jacob Bowles and Cameron Brooks, were recognized.
