Charles Robert Mattingly, 83, of Henderson

HENDERSON, Ky. – Charles Robert Mattingly, 83, of Henderson passed away March 31, 2014 at St. Anthony’s Hospice Lucy Smith King Care Center.

He was born in Henderson County January 25, 1931 to James A. and Mary E. (Shively) Mattingly. He was a farmer and a member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Joyce Mattingly; daughter, Virginia Yarborough; three brothers, Albert Mattingly, Joseph R. Mattingly, John M. Mattingly; and one sister Catherine Westerman.

He is survived by his wife, Marcelle Puckett Mattingly; six children, Allen (Sue) Puckett of Henderson, Ky., John (Connie) Puckett of Henderson, Ky., Michael Puckett of Henderson, Ky., Sherri Ledbetter of Robards, Ky., Lisa (Skip) Tyler of Henderson, Ky., Nancy (Pete) of Sullivan, Ky.; one sister, Gertrude Moore of Henderson; one brother, Richard Mattingly of Henderson; fourteen grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be will 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 4 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel. Father Larry McBride will officiate. Burial will be in Fairmont Cemetery.

Friends may call after 4:00 p.m. Thursday and Friday 8:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Prayers will be at 6:00 p.m. Thursday at the Funeral Home.
