Mary Sue Meuth, 86, of Henderson

HENDERSON, Ky. – Mary Sue Meuth, 86, of Henderson passed away Wednesday June 4, 2014 at Redbanks Nursing Home.

She was born on December 30, 1927 to Walter and Nannie (Knight) Meuth.

She worked over 40 years as a missionary overseas and served in Indonesia, Hong Kong, and Austrailia. She received her associate’s degree from Bethel College, bachelor’s degree from Carson Newman College and a Master’s in Religion from Carver College. She was a member of Kentucky Women’s Missionary Union, International Mission Board and Green Valley Baptist Association.

She was preceded in death by her parents Walter and Nannie (Knight) Meuth and two brothers, Walter and George Meuth.

Survivors include two brothers, Joseph W. (Wanda) Meuth of Henderson and Richard “Dickie” (Carolyn) Meuth of Brandenburg, Ky.; close friend, Delores Gilmore of Henderson; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday June 7, 2014 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel. Pastor Jim Trader will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Friday 4-8 p.m. and Saturday 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Deacons of First Baptist Church will serve as pallbearers.
