DUE TO HEAVY SNOWS IN WESTERN KENTUCKY...WIDESPREAD 6 TO 12 INCH SNOWFALL AMOUNTS HAVE HAULTED AREA TRAVEL. ISOLATED 15 INCH AMOUNTS HAVE BEEN REPORTED. HENDERSON, Ky. – Freda D. Shaw, 86, of Henderson, Ky., passed away at 10:37 a.m., Wednesday, June 4, 2014, at Redbanks Nursing Home, Henderson, Ky. under the care of St. Anthony’s Hospice.

Freda was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church. She was a graduate of Wayne City High School and attended Henderson Community College. Freda was retired from Accuride, where she worked for many years as a payroll secretary.

She was preceded in death by her parents Maurice and Nona Draper.

Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Conrad Shaw of Henderson, Ky.; her son, Brian Shaw of Louisville, Ky.; a daughter, Gayle Osborne and husband Ron of Sebree, Ky.; a granddaughter, Lauren Skelton of Evansville, Ind.; three brothers, Sonny Draper of Wayne City, Ill., Joe Draper of Mt. Vernon, Ill, and Chris Draper of Wayne City, Ill.; two sisters, Geraldine Waggoner of Henderson, Ky. and Judy Stoltz of Greeley, Colo.; and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to Freda’s Life Celebration from 11:00 a.m. until service time on Friday, June 6, 2014 at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home, Henderson, Ky. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home with the Reverend Jim Wofford officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Henderson, Ky.
