Judge André Trawick, Jr., 85, of Henderson, Ky.

HENDERSON, Ky. – Judge André Trawick, Jr., 85, of Henderson, Ky. passed away Tuesday June 10, 2014 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville, Ind.

Trawick, Jr. was born in New Orleans, La. on September 3, 1928 to the late Andre and Corinne (Blanchard) Trawick. He was a retired Federal Judge and a graduate of LSU and Loyola New Orleans School of law. He was also involved in numerous Henderson community organizations. Trawick, Jr. was a World War II Army veteran. He was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Louise (Gordijenko) Trawick; five children, André Trawick III of Dallas, Texas, Father Gregory Trawick of Cadiz, Ky., Armand Trawick of Ellington, Fla., Corinne Trawick of Henderson, Ky. Stephen (Dianne) Trawick of King George, Va.; one sister, Gloria Engelhardt of New Orleans, La.; one brother, Keith Trawick of San Antonio, Texas; two grandchildren, Dorothy Todd and André Trawick IV; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held noon Friday June 13, 2014 at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church. Father Gregory Trawick will officiate. Burial will be in St. Louis Cemetery in Henderson. Military honors will be conducted by American Legion Worsham Post #40. Visitation will be Thursday from 2:00 until 6:00 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel. Prayer service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Thursday with Father Larry McBride at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be to Vocation Advocates of Holy Name or St. Anthony’s Hospice.
