Providence Gets Funds from Homeland Security

ky office homeland securityPROVIDENCE, Ky. (9/3/14) — The city of Providence has been awarded $3,300 in Law Enforcement Protection Grant Program funds through the Kentucky Office of Homeland Security.

The grant will be used to purchase six new body armor vests for the officers of the Providence Police Department, according to Providence Police Chief Brent McDowell.
