Rowan A. Heavrin, 87

 

obitshipHENDERSON, KY - Rowan A. Heavrin, 87, passed away at 5:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 21, 2011, at Morganfield Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Morganfield.

He was a retired farmer and a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Union County.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Chester Patrick Heavrin; and his first wife, Louise Heavrin.

Survivors include his wife, Myra; two sons, William R. Heavrin of Morganfield and Anthony P. Heavrin of Grove Center; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Whitsell Funeral Home in Morganfield. The Rev. Freddie Byrd will officiate. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Morganfield.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 5194 Kentucky 270-West Morganfield, KY 42437.
