1cloudsHENDERSON, KY - Lena May Dillard, 94, Henderson, passed away at 4:44 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 1, 2011, at Owensboro Medical Health System in Owensboro.

She was a member of Cherry Hill Baptist Church. She was a die-hard Democrat and loved the outdoors and her family. She also loved sweets, especially pie. She was very spiritual and loved reading the Bible.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Lucy Atkinson; and her son, David Oakley.

Survivors include one son, Charles Oakley of Henderson; one brother, Elmer Ransom of Henderson; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Tapp Funeral Home. The Rev. Bret Eblen will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday and after 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Cherry Hill Baptist Church.
