Bernard L. (Rabbit) Blanford, age 78, of Smith Mill

 

2sunsetHENDERSON, KY - Bernard L. (Rabbit) Blanford, age 78, of Smith Mills, passed away, Wednesday, December 7, 2011, at his home under St. Anthony's Hospice care.

He was a loving husband, father, and Papaw. He was a retired farmer, and a member of Moose Lodge #732.

Mr. Blanford was preceded in death by his parents Bernard and Mamie Blanford, two half sisters Virginia Tischenor and Mary Blanford, and one great granddaughter Emma Marie Gray.

Survivors include: Wife of 59 years: Juanita Blanford Smith Mills, KY; 1 Son: Lewis Bernard Blanford and companion Ron Christian Henderson, KY; 5 Daughters: Bernie McGaha and companion Bob Grimes Smith Mills, KY, Needie Babb and husband Calvin Smith Mills, KY, Mary Hudnall and husband Jerry Smith Mills, KY, Robin Givens and husband Dale Little Dixie, KY, Monie Beck and husband Scott Little Dixie, KY; 18 Grandchildren; 35 Great Grandchildren

Funeral Services will be conducted at 10:00 AM, Friday, December 9, 2011 at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home, Henderson, KY. Rev. Don House will officiate. Burial will be in Smith Mills Cemetery, Smith Mills, KY.

Friends may call from 2:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday and from 9:00 AM until service time on Friday at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home, Henderson, KY.
