obit15HENDERSON, KY - Gilbert G. Luebbert, 91, Henderson, passed away at 3:20 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9, 2011, at the Western Kentucky Veterans Center in Hanson.

He was an Army veteran serving two enlistments in World War II. He also worked at Whirlpool and was a member of Lighthouse Outreach Center.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Eva Francile, who passed away in 2006; and his son, Gilbert E. Luebbert, who passed away in 1984.

Survivors include three daughters, Linda Luebbert and Beverly Wilson, both of Henderson, and Rita Mays of Newburgh; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Benton Glunt Funeral Home. The Rev. A.G. Winters will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens with full military rites preformed by American Legion Worsham Post No. 40.

Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday and after 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Western Kentucky Veterans Center at 926 Veterans Drive, Hanson, KY.
