Eddie Williams, 69, Henderson

 

2doveHENDERSON, KY - Eddie Williams, 69, Henderson, passed away at 1:10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 16, 2011, at his home under the care of St. Anthony's Hospice.

He was born in Henderson to Donald and Inez Skaggs Williams on May 11, 1942.

He was an auto mechanic and a Vietnam Army veteran. He was awarded the Army Commendation Medal for Valor, Good Conduct Medal, Vietnamese Defense Medal, Vietnamese Campaign Medal, National Defense Medal and a Purple Heart.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Frank Williams.

Survivors include his wife, Lou; one daughter, Teresa Burch of Henderson; two grandchildren, Brandon Powell and his wife, Sarah, and Brandy Jenkins and her husband, Scott, all of Henderson; and four great-grandchildren, Amber Jenkins, Payton Jenkins, Logan Jenkins and Hunter Powell.

Services were on Sunday, December 18 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel. The Rev. Dave Latham will officiate. Military rites were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home by American Legion Worsham Post No. 40.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Anthony's Hospice.
