Aldena Kirby Collins, 61, Henderson

 

3flowerHENDERSON, KY - Aldena Kirby Collins, 61, Henderson, passed away at 2 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 18, 2011, at her home.

She was a technology coordinator at South Heights Elementary School. She was a member of Airline Baptist Church and the Kentucky Education Association.

She was preceded in death by her father, James F. Kirby.

Survivors include her husband of 41 years, Hubert L. Collins; her mother, Marie Kirby of Henderson; two daughters, Sara Douthit of Henderson and Sharla Krohn of Evansville; one son, Scott Collins of Henderson; one sister, Betty Elliott of Henderson; six grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and after 9 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Airline Baptist Church or Gideons International.

Pallbearers will be William Collins, Dennis Elliott, Thomas Elliott, Lance Kuder, Jim Pfeffer and David Cates.
