Hazel Louise Sellers, 91, Robards

 

sunrayROBARDS, KY - Hazel Louise Sellers, 91, Robards, passed away at 3:40 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 31, 2011, at Methodist Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Ammie Eblen; her husband, Isham Sellers, who passed away in 1986; one brother, Gale Eblen; and her companion of several years, J.L. Beasley.

Mrs. Sellers was a member of Robards Christian Church since 1939. She was a member of Eastern Star for more than 50 years and a Kentucky Colonel. She was a secretary for the Henderson County school system and a volunteer at St. Anthony's Hospice. She loved painting and baking commercial wedding cakes.

Survivors include three sons, Isham Sellers II and his wife, Loretta, of Sebree, Hugh W. Sellers and his wife, Linda, and David A. Sellers and his wife, Patty, all of Robards; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home. Brother David Himmelheber will officiate. Burial will be in Fairmont Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today and after 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Robards Christian Church or St. Anthony's Hospice.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Chris Sellers, Eric Sellers, Matt Sellers, Neil Sellers, Joe Sellers and Travis Sellers.
