Sheila Ann Rhodes Holder, 63, Henderson

 

flowerHENDERSON, KY - Sheila Ann Rhodes Holder, 63, Henderson, passed away at 1:14 a.m. Monday, Jan. 2, 2012, at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn.

She was a faithful member of Zion Baptist Church, where she previously taught children's Sunday school and senior ladies.

Sheila was a graduate of Community Methodist Hospital's first LPN class and worked for Dr. Don Cantley. She was a devoted wife and mother and enjoyed gardening, crafts, sewing, reading and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Robert and Clara Roberta Moore Rhodes.

Survivors include her husband of 39 years, Don Holder; two sons, Blaine and his wife, Leah, of Henderson and Chad Holder and his wife, Kerri, of Louisville; three sisters, Kay Henshaw, Joyce Walker and Becky Ervin, all of Uniontown; five grandchildren, Chris Holder, Daniel Holder, Maddie Holder, Katherine Holder and Eleanor Holder; nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Zion Baptist Church. The Revs. Mark Galloway and Dan Garland will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

Friends may call from noon to 8 p.m. Thursday at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home and after 9 a.m. Friday at the church.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Zion Baptist Church Building Fund.
