William L. Shaw, age 71, of Spottsville, KY

orangesunsetHENDERSON, KY - William L. Shaw, age 71, of Spottsville, KY, passed away at 1:10 a.m., Sunday, January 8, 2012, at St. Anthony's Lucy Smith King Care Center, Henderson, KY.

Mr. Shaw was preceded in death by parents Carl H. and Claudia Hodge Shaw.

He was a member of the LDS Church, Masonic Lodge Bullitt #155, FOP Lodge #9 in Henderson, KY, and Blue Knights in Evansville, IN. Mr. Shaw enjoyed collecting model trains, reading, drawing, and riding motorcycles. He also sang and played multiple instruments. Mr. Shaw had an Associate's Degree and he worked as a detective for the rail road.

Survivors include: Wife of 50 years: Ruth Shaw Henderson, KY; 2 Sons: Russ Shaw and wife Bobbi, John Shaw and wife Lynda; 1 younger brother: Bruce Shaw; 7 Grandchildren: Joshua, Aaron Duhachek, Zachary, Benji Graves, Amber Rios, Michael Dial, and Kaleb Shaw; 4 Great Grandchildren: Koda Rios, Nevaeh Dial, Harlie Rios, and Paityn Duhachek.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home, Henderson, KY. Pastor Alan Ramsey will officiate. Burial will be in Alexander Memorial Park, Evansville, In.

Friends may call from 2:00 to 8:00 PM on Tuesday and from 9:00 AM until service time on Wednesday at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home, Henderson, KY.
