Earl (Joe) Martin, 81, Henderson

obitshipHENDERSON, KY - Earl (Joe) Martin, 81, Henderson,  passed away at 6 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 5, 2012, at Redbanks nursing home.

He was of the Protestant faith. He had worked in maintenance at Sinai Kosher Meat Co.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Evelyn Martin, who  passed away in 1992; and his parents, Earl and Christine Martin.

Survivors include two daughters, Debbie Karczewski and Mary Jo Bauer, both of Evansville; three sisters, Sue Sandefur of Robards, Helen Young of Kenton, Miss., and Corrine Steen of Jackson, Miss.; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Tapp Funeral Home. Brother Franklin Skaggs will officiate. Burial will be in Fernwood Cemetery.

Friends may call after 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Devin Waddell, Kara Waddell, Tom Sandefur, Joe Karczewski, Ray Karczewski and Brad Martin.
