cletus wayneHENDERSON, KY - Cletus Wayne Winstead, 81, of Henderson, KY passed away on January 9, 2012 at the Lucy Smith King Care Center in Henderson, KY.

He was a retired from Island Creek Coal Company. He was a member of the Bennett Memorial United Methodist Church in Henderson, KY and was an US Air Force Korean War Veteran. He is the son of the late Frank and Anna Cates Winstead.

He was preceded in death by his 1st wife Phyllis Winstead, a stepson Glenn McElfresh and a granddaughter Stephanie Winstead.

Survivors include his wife Mary K. Winstead of Henderson, KY; two daughters Patty Gold and Susie Cates both of Madisonville, KY; one stepdaughter Susan Martin of Underwood, IN; two sons Ronnie Winstead of Hanson, KY and Billy Winstead of Madisonville, KY; 12 grandchildren and 12 great grand; several nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 11am on Thursday at Townsend Funeral Home in Dixon, KY. Pastor Will Campbell will officiate. Burial will be in Townsend Cemetery in Dixon. Visitation will be from 4-8pm on Wednesday and from 8am until service time on Thursday at the funeral home.
