Barbara Jean Brantley Watson Mills, 73, Henderson

 

HENDERSON, KY - Barbara Jean Brantley Watson Mills, 73, Henderson, passed away at 4:15 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2012, at Colonial Terrace Nursing Home.

She owned and operated Blakes Tavern.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William James and Evelyn Raleigh Brantley; her daughter, Brenda Kay Powell; and her sons James Edward Watson and Samuel Ray Watson.

Survivors include her stepfather, Ira Wayne Williams of Henderson; one daughter, Julie Watson of Corydon; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Services will be at noon Monday at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel. Brother Dwight Cox will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Friends may call after 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
