Sarah Elizabeth Evans, 84, of Madisonville, KY

sara evansMADISONVILLE, KY - Sarah Elizabeth Evans, 84, of Madisonville, KY, passed away Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at Regional Medical Center in Madisonville.

She was born December 6, 1924 in Mortons Gap, KY to the late Curtis Bell and Flora Elizabeth Bell. Mrs. Evans was a member of the Old Salem Baptist Church in Mortons Gap.

She was also preceded in death by two daughters, Ruby Nell Evans and Kathy Sue Evans Simms; one son, Donald Eugene Evans; one grandson, Josh Evans, one sister and one brother.

She was survived by one daughter, Mary Anne Coleman of Nashville, TN; five sons, Jimmy “Possum” (Alberta) Evans of Nebo; Kenneth Evans of Madisonville; Roger (Patricia) Evans of Earlington; Gary Evans of Madisonville and Jackie (Ellen) Evans of Madisonville; five grandchildren, Herschel Ray; Linda Sue; Cordelia “Buttons”; David and Susan; six great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; Bailey Evans; one nephew, Billy Evans and one niece, Jacklyn Whenttel.

Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, February 6, 2012, at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Bro. Ted Morelock officiating. Burial will follow in Old Salem Cemetery in Mortons Gap.

Visitation will be 10:00 A.M. to service time on Monday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Damon Evans, Trent Evans, Robby Pruitt, Bobby Pruitt, Dustin Walker and David Evans.
