Mary Gladys Seats Sanderson, 86, of Madisonville, KY

MADISONVILLE, KY - Mary Gladys Seats Sanderson, 86, of Madisonville, KY passed away at 7:35 p.m. on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at Hillside Villa Care and Rehabilitation Center in Madisonville.

She was born on June 24, 1925 in Madisonville, KY to the late William Ross "Jack" Seats and Nellie Melton Seats. She graduated from Madisonville High School with the class of 1944.She worked on the wings of airplanes and was given the nickname "Rosie the Riveter". She was co-founder of Manufacturer's Supply Company in Madisonville. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Madisonville.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, R. Terry Sanderson and a brother, James T. Seats.

She is survived by three sons, Thomas L. Sanderson of Hopkinsville, KY, Richard L. Sanderson of Paducah, KY and Sid Sanderson of Kuttawa, KY; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two nieces and two nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Rev. John Rasel officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Madisonville. Pallbearers will be Mike Sanderson, Jerry Seats, Matt Sanderson, Brent Sanderson, Ryan Sanderson and Sam Sanderson.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour Wednesday at Harris Funeral Home.
