Bettye Marie Rickard, age 85, of Madisonville, KY

rickard bettyMADISONVILLE, KY - Bettye Marie Rickard of Madisonville, KY, passed away Monday, March 5, 2012 at her residence.

She was born December 5, 1926 in Hopkins Co., KY to the late Herbert Guy Jones and Lucille Corrin Jones. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Rickard, Jr. one daughter, Sharon Ray Wynn and one brother Herbert Jones. Mrs. Rickard was of the Methodist Faith.

She is survived by three daughters, Mary Janell Daugherty of Madisonville; Guynith Ann Morgan of Madisonville and Sue Ellen (Anthony) Mercer of Dawson Springs; two sons, Arthur “Bud” (Marilyn) Rickard of White Plains, KY and Richard (Louise) Richard of Hanson; one sister, Barbara Nell Blanks of Milah, TN; 21 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren; and 9 great great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 12:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 7, 2012, at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Pastor Marshall Crick officiating. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Madisonville, KY.

Visitation will be after 9:00 A.M. until the service time on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Natasha Larkins, Patricia Wynn, Richard Rickard, Kris Rickard, Patrick Rickard and Jalen Daugherty. Honorary pallbearers will be Troy Daugherty, Donovan Dame, Jason Daugherty and Nick Rickard.
