Larry Dale Parrent, age 65, of Dawson Springs, KY

 

DAWSON SPRINGS, KY - Larry Dale Parrent, age 65, of Dawson Springs, KY, passed away on Thursday, March 15, 2012 at his residence. Mr. Parrent was born July 6, 1946 in Trigg County, Kentucky. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean and Vietnam Wars. A Master Sargeant in rank, he served for 21 years. He was a member of the Methodist Church of Cadiz, KY, a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion and Eagles Organization.

Mr. Parrent is survived by a daughter ~ Amanda Lanci of North Carolina; a brother~Donald Ray Parrent of Dawson Springs, KY; a nephew~ Eric Parrent of Dawson Springs, KY and three grandchildren~ Nikko Phongchit, Emily Lanci and Olivia Lanci.

Preceding Mr. Parrent in death were his parents ~ William David Parrent and Dorothy Louise Bannister Parrent; a grandchild~ Gracie Janelle; three brothers~ Steven Dwayne Parrent, Jerry Lee Parrent, and James David Parrent. Additionally, he lost a sister~ Joan Elizabeth Payne.

Friends may call beginning at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 17, 2012 from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. which is to be followed by a Memorial Service at 2:00 P.M. at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, KY. Memorial Services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday with Rev. Thad Hopper officiating.
