Mary Beth Tomblinson Kercheval, 89 of Madisonville

MADISONVILLE, KY - Mary Beth Tomblinson Kercheval, 89 of Madisonville passed away at12:50 AM Tuesday March 20, 2012 at NHC Nursing Facility in Madisonville.

She was born June 2, 1922 in Ashbyburg, KY to the late Oliver Marshall “Sox” and Vayden (Gentry) Tomblinson.

She was a member of Madisonville First United Methodist Church and the Upper Room Sunday School Class. She retired from the Hopkins County Circuit Court Clerk as a deputy. She was the Hopkins County Democratic Hall of Fame Woman of the Year 2001-2002, a KY Colonel and an avid UK basketball fan.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother; Sam Corum, sisters; Dorothy Major, Alma Breeden and Mildred Williams.

She is survived by 5 children; Howie Kercheval of Albuquerque, NM, Woody and wife Kea Kercheval of Elbert, CO, Dottie and husband Mike Garrigan of Madisonville, KY, Lib and husband Brad Locke of Madisonville, KY, Sam and wife Cindy Kercheval of Ashbyburg, KY; 14 Grandchildren; 20 Great Grandchildren; Several Nieces and Nephews.

Services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday March 24, 2012 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Slaughters-Hanson Chapel. Pastor Mike Garrigan and Pastor Richard Cheever will officiate.

Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery in Hanson, KY.

Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 until 7:00 and Saturday 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Green River Hospice.
