Noble Ray Parish, 85, of Madisonville, KY

OBIT pARISHHOPKINS COUNTY, KY - Noble Ray Parish, 85, of Madisonville, KY passed away at 7:55 p.m. on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at Regional Medical Center in Madisonville.

He was born on May 14, 1926 to the late, Basil Parish and Verlie Duncan. He was a United States Navy Veteran serving during WWII. He was retired as a driver with Joy Manufacturing and was a former mechanic with Boggess Chevrolet. He was also a former firefighter with the City of Madisonville. He was a member of Concord General Baptist Church in Manitou.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Cash Parish.

He is survived by his daughter, Sheila (Claude) Gregory of White House, TN; his sister, Ruth Lewis of Elkins, West Virginia; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 3, 2012 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Rev. Sam Beeny officiating. Military honors will be conducted graveside by the United States Navy. Burial to follow in Westlawn Cemetery in Hanson.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour Thursday at Harris Funeral Home.
