HOPKINS COUNTY, Ky. - Sydney Earl Vannoy, age 71 of Earlington, KY passed away at 11:28 a.m. Wednesday 12-26-12 at Baptist Health Madisonville.
He was born August 11-1941 in Earlington to the late Samuel Cleo and Jewel Pearl Eastwood Vannoy.
He was a coal miner for Island Creek Coal and a member of the Star of Bethlehem Pentecostal Church in Ilsley.
He is survived by his wife Sandra Vannoy of Earlington, four daughters Ladonna Lee (J.T. Clark) of White Plains, Stacy Harrell and her husband Jon of Madisonville, Christy Law and her husband David of Earlington, Shellie Rambo and her husband Kyle of Earlington, one son Timmy Vannoy and his wife Lori of Earlington, one brother Samuel Leon Vannoy and his wife Lena of Madisonville, 15 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the Praise Temple Apostolic in Madisonville with Bro. Monty Fuller and Bro. Phil Cook officiating. His burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Earlington.
His visitation will be 5:00-8:00 p.m. Friday 12-28-12 at the church and from 10:00 a.m. until the service time on Saturday.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
Reid-Walters Funeral Home is charge of the service.
