HOPKINS COUNTY, Ky. -Tessa Simmons, 39, of Madisonville, KY, passed away Monday, January 7, 2013 at her residence.

She was born January 11, 1973 in Madisonville, KY to the late Gary Lynn Davis and Cheryl Shanks. She was also preceded in death by her grandmother, Dorothy Ramsey.

Ms. Simmons was a homemaker. She was a member of Greater Lighthouse Pentecostal Church. She loved to clean her house and make candy. She enjoyed making crafts and doing random craft projects. She fought Lupus for almost 20 years.

She is survived by her mother, Cheryl (Lynn) Shanks of Beckley, WV; her daughter, Taylor Simmons of Madisonville; one son, James Simmons of Slaughters, KY; two sisters, Desiree Davis and Ashley Davis, both of Beckley; one brother, Shawn Davis; a granddaughter, Elaina Simmons; and several cousins.

Memorial service will held at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Tessa Simmons Memorial Fund at 1289 Eastside Ln. Madisonville, KY 42431.
