Helen M. Winstead 91, of Calhoun, KY, formerly of Madisonville

HOPKINS COUNTY, Ky. - Helen M. Winstead 91, of Calhoun, KY, formerly of Madisonville passed away Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at the Riverside Manor Health Care Center in Calhoun. Helen Marie Dickerson was born June 28, 1921 in Hopkins County, Kentucky to the late Joe and Ethel Buchanan Dickerson and was married to W.T. Winstead on October 8, 1938. Helen retired from the Enro Shirt Factory in Madisonville and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Madisonville. She enjoyed sewing and cooking for her granddaughter and great grandson.

In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, W.T. Winstead who passed away March 14, 2008; and by three brothers, Denzel Dickerson, Conroy Dickerson, and Arlin Dickerson.

Survivors include a daughter, Loudell Cherry of Calhoun; a granddaughter, Gigi Mackey and husband, Michael of Calhoun; a great grandson, Andy Payne of Calhoun; and her extended family, Billy and Fee Corum and Lanny and Libby Finley.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel with Dr. Richard Sams officiating. Burial will be in the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Madisonville. Friends may visit with Helen's family from 9:30 A.M. until time of services Thursday at Musters in Calhoun.

The Helen M. Winstead family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form on donations to the McLean County High School FFA; 1959 Kentucky 136 East; Calhoun, Kentucky 42327. Memorial contribution envelopes will be available at Musters in Calhoun.
